OOTD and a Workout

I wore this for work yesterday. It was so comfortable to get around in, but the materials made it dressy enough to be professional. I brought my ankle strap heels to wear with it but the line of the ankle strap didn't mesh well with the bottom hem of the pant. However, I liked the flats with it better anyway and it made for an easier time running from pharmacy to pharmacy. I don't usually have problems that need troubleshooting for work, but the last two days have been crazy trying to resolve stocking issues at pharmacies. Because multiple pharmacies couldn't get my product in stock (wholesaler issues), I lost some business and trust of an account that recently started writing scripts for my product. But I think we got it figured out and all is well!

....anyway, the outfit:

It's another high-low top (short in the front, long in the back). It seems that the high-low cut is the only style that stores are carrying. And by stores, I mean Target. I don't like to invest money on dress shirts. I'd rather have something trendy and of-the-moment for a top and spend more money on the foundation pieces (skirts, pants, jackets, etc.).

After coming home from my crazy two days out of town, the last thing I wanted to do was workout. I did it anyway and took a picture as proof of my sweatiness. Except you can't really see the sweat pouring off my face and neck, so maybe I wasn't sweating as much as I felt like I was.

Either way, I got in a really good workout. I have recommitted myself to lifting weights five days a week after taking a few lazy weeks off. I noticed a huge drop in my attitude and an increase in stress levels when I stopped working out. Thus, I am back on it and my outlook is much more positive. Knowing how much being active affects my mental and emotional health is my main motivating factor for just getting it done. Instead of telling myself how much better my body will look, I have to tell myself "Do you want to be crazy psycho with mood swings? No? Okay, go workout." It seems to do the trick every time. And everyone around me is happier for it!

This was my workout yesterday, modified to do at home with resistance bands and a dip station:

I did a few sprints outside after I was done lifting and called it a day!
